Jim Park Alumni Crack NCAA-DI Top Ten
|
|
Congratulations are in order for Jim Park graduates Adam D’Alba, Cory Schneider and David Caruso. All three are among the top ten goaltenders in the NCAA – DI. D’Alba, coming off a stellar season last year with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, is a freshman at Brown University. In ten games played Adam posted a 6-2-1 record with a .941 SV% and 1.86 GAA. Schneider is a freshman at Boston College and has a record of 6-0-3, and a .925 SV% to go along with his 1.72 GAA. David Caruso rounds out the trio of alumni among NCAA-D1 leaders. A junior at Ohio State University, Caruso has a very impressive 13-4-3 record in 20 games played to go along with a .920 SV% and GAA of 2.12. All stats courtesy of U.S. College Hockey Online. Trio of Jim Park Alumni Win, Place and Show!

Congratulations to goalie school alumni Kevin Bendel, Dan Beauregard and Christopher Molinaro. All three placed #1, #2 and #3 respectively among the Atlantic Junior Hockey League’s leading goaltenders as of December 16, 2004 (stats courtesy of USA Junior Hockey Mag). To earn consideration goalies must have played a minimum of 400 minutes. Kevin Bendel’s .923 SV% and 2.22 GAA was good enough to put him at the top of the AJHL’s leader board while Dan Beauregard’s (Boston Bulldogs) .909 SV% and 2.28 GAA and Chris Molinaro’s (Ney York Bobcats) .909 SV% and 2.71 GAA earned them the 2 and 3 spots. Beauregard and Molinaro have played 16 and 19 games respectively.

Six JPGS Graduates Among NCAA Leaders
|
|
Goalie school students deserving honourable mention include goalie school instructors Jimmy Healey and Andrew Isaac as well as students Kevin Hennessey, Christopher Ries, Tony Ciro, and Matt Burzon . All six figure prominently among the leaders in major statistical categories for NCAA goaltenders with two cracking the NCAA-DIII top fifteen overall. Jimmy Healey (Merrimack College, Hockey East) is no. 4 in overall minutes played among DI goaltenders with 1284 minutes in 23 GP while Andrew Isaac, a junior at Lawrence University, is no. 6 in SV% among DIII goaltenders with a .925 in 10 GP. Kevin Hennessey (3-1-2, .934 SV%, 1.45 GAA) and Christopher Ries (8-1-1, .915 SV%, 2.09 GAA) are No. 3 and No. 11 respectively among overall DIII goaltending leaders. Tony Ciro is no. 3 in overall minutes played among DIII goaltenders with 913 minutes in 15 GP while Matt Burzon rounds out the list of notable graduates receiving honourable mention.
